birthday!!
it’s my BIRTHDAY! yah. ellen made me a scrumptious looking homemade b-day cake, from scratch, which we will be consuming later today. and then it’s time for northside fest and secret life of sofia at spike hill restaurant, which you can’t miss when you get off the L train at Bedford ave. soooo, what are you doin’ tonight?

the price is right
i don’t fancy myself a music critic, so i’ve never really written (besides a maybe a passing mention) about other bands, albums, songs, etc. that i haven’t been directly involved with. i don’t intend to really start now, but i will say that putting a new album on sale for $3.99 (digital obvs. not the physical CD) gets a strong nod of approval from this guy. especially...

jetlag
at night… it’s bad… in the morning… it’s not as bad! the only thing that kinda sucks about san diego so far is it’s basically the same temp. here as it is in NYC. which is sorta ok, but I wish it weren’t cloudy all the time. the harbor is beautiful, the submarine was awesome, and we’ve had a pretty good time. full day 2 coming up.

here’s I didn’t think i’d write on this trip… goodmorning LA! why you ask? because i’m supposed to be in san diego. long story short AA f’d up and now we’ve got a bunch of vouchers and spent all of 3 hours sleeping at the crown plaza lax! …waiting for out connection this morning, so it’s really not a huge inconvenience. at least we’re in...

smutty nose ipa is a winner. played a good show, drinkin’, then packin’ up and takin’ the gear home. so far, so great. bumped into people that I was pleasantly surprised to see! thanks to all who came out!

cold
it’s cold in new york. i don’t like it.
five days of warm Austin sun has spoiled me rotten, and returning to chilly ole’ brooklyn has got me dreaming of july. so what did we learn? wear sun block. my nose is peeling.
sxsw was an amazing time.

winding down
I’ll be heading back home tomorrow morning, but there’s still plenty to do today. took in some nature at Hamilton pool in the beautiful travis county preserve/park and got a sundae at sonic. heading back to town now to meet up with Matt and do some hangin’ out. see you tomorrow new york.
catch up time
it’s impossible to keep up. I am at peace with this, but I will try my best to give fill you in. yesterday’s highlights were dept of eagles, and a screening of “best worst movie” which commands me to put troll 2 at the top of my netflix queue, and finally, Takka Takka at 11:00ish. What followed was pure madness… Walking to some house party, people’s phones...
