birthday!!
it’s my BIRTHDAY! yah. ellen made me a scrumptious looking homemade b-day cake, from scratch, which we will be consuming later today. and then it’s time for northside fest and secret life of sofia at spike hill restaurant, which you can’t miss when you get off the L train at Bedford ave. soooo, what are you doin’ tonight?
the price is right
i don’t fancy myself a music critic, so i’ve never really written (besides a maybe a passing mention) about other bands, albums, songs, etc. that i haven’t been directly involved with. i don’t intend to really start now, but i will say that putting a new album on sale for $3.99 (digital obvs. not the physical CD) gets a strong nod of approval from this guy. especially since it’s an album i’ve been waiting for. so amazon mp3, thanks for putting the new grizzly bear album within my financial reach. i’d buy a lot more albums digitally if $5 was the price point. but hey, this has all been said before, i’m just happy with my purchase! here.

lots of fun stuff coming up this summer. hopefully some BBQ’s, lots of shows, eventually hopefully recording the next TSLOS album, and my next big excursion to Bratislava, SK to see the fam. for now, enjoy these chocolates!

at night… it’s bad… in the morning… it’s not as bad! the only thing that kinda sucks about san diego so far is it’s basically the same temp. here as it is in NYC. which is sorta ok, but I wish it weren’t cloudy all the time. the harbor is beautiful, the submarine was awesome, and we’ve had a pretty good time. full day 2 coming up.

here’s I didn’t think i’d write on this trip… goodmorning LA! why you ask? because i’m supposed to be in san diego. long story short AA f’d up and now we’ve got a bunch of vouchers and spent all of 3 hours sleeping at the crown plaza lax! …waiting for out connection this morning, so it’s really not a huge inconvenience. at least we’re in the right state!
